Arsenal reportedly tracking striker

Superb hairdo mate

The Guardian today suggests that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is interested in the Icelandic striker Aron Johannsson, who is currently plying his trade in the Danish super league, with AGF.

Johannsson, 21, had an inauspicious start to his career in Denmark. But after a 15 match goal drought he started making the net bulge with great regularity. If we, for no particular reason, take out those first 15 games the young 6 footer has a scoring record of 19 in 42 for AGF.

Arsenal fans will also be interested to know that he apparently holds the world record for the fastest hat trick in football, scored in just under 4 minutes. I say apparently because I know the story to be untrue.

I put 3 goals past my little sister in the garden a few years back in under 2 minutes, before tickling her until she was sick. It just goes to show how much lazy journalism goes on out there on a daily basis. Noone even thought to ask muggins about his superb 2 minute treble. Frankly, it makes me sick.
