Chelsea

Huge Chelsea bid confirmed

According to the Guardian, Chelsea have followed up their continued interest in André Schürrle by making an improved bid of £20m. With Daniel Sturridge potentially off to Liverpool today and Fernando Torres still finding top form Roberto Di Matteo is desperate for striking reinforcements.

As reported in soccersweep yesterday, at 21, Schürrle is seen as the perfect addition to the squad. In contrast to a Cavani or Hulk, he won’t expect to start every game. Instead he will be viewed as a squad player who can become a household name over time at Chelsea.

The German international has scored 27 goals in 97 senior games for Mainz and Leverkusen and is known for his superb dribbling skills and generally explosive play. He is yet another player who will bring the Chelsea crowd to their feet in this exciting new era at Stamford Bridge.

So Chelsea fans, are you happy with these developments or would you prefer a higher profile striker signing?

schurule is known 4 his wonderful skills and goal scoring sence. To me, he is exactly what chelsea need now. Chelsea are winning their matches now with torres and the hazardous man but the question should be how long will this last?. Its better if chelsea gets schurule, i believe he will make torres a serious player.

Andre Schurrle eill be a welcome signing for chelsea instead of spending so much on Halk or Edison Cavani, he will be there to make Torres look more competative like other stiker.
