Manchester United – striker deals done

So it may not be the striker deal that all Manchester United fans have been waiting for but Sir Alex Ferguson has concluded two contract negotiations in the last 24 hours.

While Reds supporters everywhere are agonising over whether Robin Van Persie will finally come to Old Trafford and start the perfect partnership with Wayne Rooney, Fergie has been busy tieing up deals for other front men.

In a hotly constested battle, Manchester United have completed the signing of Chilean prospect Angelo Henriquez. With Manchester City and other clubs circling, United had to work fast, but Henriquez ultimately honoured a prior agreement to move to Old Trafford.

The 18 year old has scored 11 times in just 17 games for his current club Universidad de Chile and the rumour is that he may be loaned back there for a year before joining Manchester United properly next season.

In other news, Danny Welbeck has put pen to paper on a new 5 year deal worth a reported £75k a week.

I think RVP has nothing to offer man utd. A 29 yr old injury prone stricker for 20m pounds is a definite gain for arsenal and a loss for manutd. He only has about 2 more good seasons in him and i think what united needs is a good mid fielder or that Dotmond stricker. He is young and his track record i as far as injuries is concerned is not bad. So i would go for an improved mid field with a player like sahin, or leundoski from borucia Dotmond.

United certainly needs RVP and we should try everything possible to include him in our line up next season because we are certainly not getting enough from Welbeck and Chicharito. Please sir we need RVP so that our striking force would become a deadly one come next season. With him and two other signings we will get the best result of our hard work come next season
