Robin Van Persie chooses Manchester United

In a topsy turvy summer of transfer activity so far for Manchester United, there are at least still some strands of positivity for the Old Trafford club.

It is now generally accepted that, despite the riches on offer elsewhere, Robin Van Persie wants to join Manchester United . While The Reds have lost out to rivals Manchester City in most of the big transfer tussles of the last couple of years, this one will leave City fans sore and United fans elated – if the deal does eventually go through.

The Telegraph

‘Van Persie has told the club that he wants to leave and would prefer to join United rather than Juventus.’

Now it is up to Manchester United to stump up the necessary cash to make the deal happen. The player wants to come, so Manchester United must open up the coffers to show that they really want this world class player. What is £20m for a 29 year old if that player helps the team to domestic and European glory?

We think that this is a deal that United simply must do if they are to remain at the top of the English game while Danny Welbeck and Chicharito develop their highly promising games.

It’s almost impossible to imagine how good RVP and Wayne Rooney can be together. It’s a must see event. A deal might well be concluded as early as this weekend as David Gill is planning to be in London for other club business.

Please ManU should hurry up so that Podolski will be given the No. 10 shirt.
and lets see if ManU will give him the much chance Arsenal gave him even when he was injured and wasnt active for more than 5yrs.

He is a good addition but if the deals fails,United will still exist. Wenger will not hold us hostage on a guy who clearly shows him he wants to leave the Club. If he was to become fair to RVP for what he has achieved for Arsenal,he would give him a good send off.

I really hate van persie for his ungratefulness, arsenal stood by him during hard times and now he thinks all is okay.we all shall see,up gunners.

I’m getting fed up with the list of players man utd are “linked”with you know the ones, the ones that seemingly get drawn out for as long as possible before they inevitably sign for someone else.rvp at his age and injury record does not make sence, where as a weakened defence and two near 40 year old midfielders that can’t be expected to play every game needs to be addressed first.anyone would start to think these “bids” are just about selling tickets, merchandise or making it look like man utd can compete financially for prospective ipo investors.perhaps fergie should stick within his budget,I hear rivaldo scored a hat-trick for Angolan side kabuscorp,he’s Brazilian,a big name,an attacking midfielder and 40 years old, would fit in just fine.

We are tired of this RvP saga. Pls prof, if he want to leave, let him leave now so that we can sign 2 or more players b/4 18th.

Beta players have come and gone, RVP moving to Man U will not mark the end of Arsenal. As for United, while buy other clubs’ best players, rather than make ours ?

do i hear you say wenger should be fair with rvp for wath has archive for arsenal? i begang to wonder if you actually know him @ arsenal (rvp) cos he has archive nothing,he has being correcting his pay every week for the pass yrs he has been @ arsenal without any thing to show for it,he was fantastic last season dos not mean he will be the same this time we all know him,but if manu insist on buying him no problem but they have to meet up with the asking prize if not they should backof, moses is still avellable may be thier 15m can seal d deal(moses). rvp is the one who should be fair with mr wenger for wort he has done for him all this yrs.gunner i always be.

Gunners fans shud stop worrying themselves over this baseless articles, all bullshit, after that statement was released by who ever abt RVP not wanting to extend his contract, nobody has heard any word from him as regards transfer, this story about RVP telling the board he prefers man u is a bag of shit, he can neva say that, He’s stil under contract for heaven’s sake. They said same abt him prefering Juventus. So mates, rest ur nerves. Hav u not thought why man c & Juventus back out? Ferguson is only frustrated cos his not making a head way in d transfer market. Come to think of it, why are they so interested in Arsenal players? I tot they are worth notin?. RVP’s not leaving.

Just pay the 30m already, this transfer has gone long enough. We need to settle this and start hijacking Liverpool targets like we always do!
