Talk has resurfaced of Liverpool making a move for the eye-catching, impish and impressively improving Blackburn starlet Junior Hoilett. The Canadian youngster, who has enough pace for two men (and no slouches themselves), has raised his game massively this season as maturity begins to kick in. Many have suggested that he is one of the main reasons for Blackburn’s recent climb out of immediate relegation danger.
Thankfully, because he is Canadian, he doesn’t possess the annoying foibles of many English wingers. That is to say, whilst he has pace to burn, he also plays with his head up and has a final ball and good cross in his locker.
I have long been an advocate of Liverpool investing in more pace in the wide areas and I think that, in Hoilett, The Reds could develop a real gem. The one positive from their bizarre submission against QPR in midweek is that they will now be even more likely to flash the cash in the summer and they could certainly do a lot worse than the 21 year old.

Yeah. Liverpool will buy him. Keep him in reserve,NextGen,under-whatever-age,and then send him on loan, then sell him. Suso,Sterling,Coady,Shelvey, all will never get a chance or chance again to play with starting 11. We prefer slowass Adam, lazy bullshit Carroll,no brain Henderson,almost-good downing. What a joke Liverpool is. And I am a Liverpool fan for only 20years.

Nah…
Not going to happen. Doesn’t fit the profile of players which KD like – I meant whichever player we buy they must be over rated, expensive and most importantly British. Eden Hazard and many others doesn’t fit the bill.
Mediocre players such as Raheem Sterling and Suso cannot make it to the first team for the same reason.

I believe Hoilett would be a smashing purchase for Liverpool but more is needed for Kenny Dalglish and his side to keep up with the pace of the very big spenders. Hoilett would not cost more than 8-10m due to his contract being up shortly. Adding 3-4 purchases like that, Kenny Dalglish could seriously think about challenging for the fourth place next season. Until then, top 8 is reachable.
