Manchester United or Liverpool? Pools Predictor 11th February

After 16 hours a day for the last week in the highly scientific, further maths ‘think lab’ our professors of football have surfaced, pale of flesh, tired and hungry, with a small, crumpled piece of paper containing the predictions for this week’s Premier League fixtures.

We have such faith in our professors of football that we at soccersweep put our money where our mouth is and place a bet also. We think it’s a damn site more fun than watching what’s his face do the Lottery draw each week. Sure, it’s disappointing when your accumulator doesn’t come in, but one day, one day, you’ll get there. Just 3 weeks ago soccersweep predicted an 18 bet accumulator correctly. Next time it could be you! We might need to work on that strap line.

If you click on the banner on the right of the page to open an account with Ladbrokes, you will get £50 worth of free bets.

So here we go again. Good luck!!

The Barclays Premier League, Saturday 10th February 2012

(3pm unless stated)

Man Utd v Liverpool Sat 11 Feb 12:45

Undoubtedly the match of the weekend. Manchester United have a good record at home against their greatest rivals but there have been notable exceptions. Torres terrorised Vidic a couple of years ago and there was a period when Danny Murphy seemed to win every game at Old Trafford for Liverpool. Both are searching for top form but Manchester United will be buoyed by their comeback at Chelsea in last week’s belter. Liverpool’s away form is good but I tip United to win, simply because they have to.

HOME WIN

Blackburn v QPR

Two teams who seem to play a blinder then serve a stinker. No consistency from either. But QPR were unlucky last weekend, dominating Wolves until Cisse was sent off. Rangers also have more points away than at home. Draw then.

DRAW

Bolton v Wigan

Two almost perennial strugglers. I like both of their bosses and hope they come through their difficult periods, but with the newly promoted sides doing so well we could soon be saying goodbye to both.

HOME WIN

Everton v Chelsea

Everton had a great result against Manchester City and are always tough to beat at home.

DRAW

Fulham v Stoke

Fulham need points but Stoke are sturdy

DRAW

Sunderland v Arsenal

Arsene Wenger certainly won’t relish a trip to rejuvenated Sunderland. Sunderland could sneak it, but I’m saying draw.

DRAW

Swansea v Norwich

The two over-achieving new boys do battle. Swansea to edge it

HOME WIN

Tottenham v Newcastle   Sat 11 Feb 17:30

Newcastle have been excellent but it’s only against the lesser sides that Tottenham seem to struggle at White Hart Lane.

HOME WIN

Wolves v West Brom Sun 12 Feb 13:30

Both teams really need points. Mick might pull this off but West Brom are better away from home.

DRAW

Aston Villa v Man City Sun 12 Feb 16:00

If Manchester City can get an early goal they will be very hard to stop. Villa aren’t as sturdy as Everton and may not be able to hold onto a lead but, if the crowd is up for it, they may well get the draw. Still, I think the safest money is on the win for City

AWAY WIN

At the time of writing, a £1 bet at Ladbrokes on the above accumulator will win you £5689.20

soccersweep weekend special – Manchester United, Tottenham, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Celtic and Rangers all to win  – around 13/2 at Ladbrokes
