Liverpool linked with brilliant creative duo

At the age of 27 it seems that Cabaye feels ready for one last big move

Despite a decidedly chastening defeat at Arsenal, Liverpool are playing brilliantly this season and giving fans much reason for optimism.

Their star player Luis Suarez seems settled and the rest of the team are following his lead.

But most of the top clubs in England will look to strengthen again in the winter window and Liverpool won’t want to fall behind the leading pack.

Accordingly they are being linked with two players today. The Guardian says that Liverpool will go head-to-head with Arsenal in a battle for Newcastle’s brilliant midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

After signing Mesut Ozil in the summer we can’t understand why Arsenal would go in for such a player. In our estimations this leaves Liverpool as a more feasible destination. The Guardian states:

After last weekend’s pitiful proof that Liverpool are unable to compete with Arsenal on the pitch, Brendan Rodgers is going to try to compete with them in the transfer market, and that means going head to head for Yohan Cabaye.

At the age of 27 it seems that Cabaye feels ready for one last big move. He lacks a little bit of pace but he is so good on the ball that he would probably improve most teams in the league – Liverpool included. Let’s see some of his best bits.

The same report suggests that Liverpool will also go in for a brilliant young winger Juan Iturbe. The 20-year-old Argentine, who plays for Verona in Italy, looks as if he could be a star in the making. He’s all potential at the moment but looks like he has the physique and courage to cope in England.

Let’s see lad in action and we want to hear from Liverpool fans on these two players. Are they good enough to immediately improve the first team at Liverpool?
