Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has reportedly agreed to sign with Real Madrid in the summer, according to the club’s former president Ramon Calderon.
His potential transfer to the Spanish giants fell through at a late stage last season due to delay in ‘relevant’ paperwork finalization.
The shot-stopper made a quick turnaround in signing a new deal with the Old Trafford outfit, however Calderon believes the Los Blancos are still in with a chance of signing De Gea.
“It would be really strange if David de Gea came but no doubt he is one of the best and also he’s a Spaniard, which helps,” Calderon told talkSPORT.
“Apparently there is some agreement. They had a deal from last [summer] for him to come but I can’t tell you [for sure] as I don’t have personal knowledge of that.”
The Spaniard has kept 12 clean sheets in 27 appearances for Man United in the Premier League this season.
We’re trying to work this one out and it ain’t easy. Seems like Calderon doesn’t know if he’s staying or going?
Please help us understand this one?
