Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Marko Grujic this month and have also brought the excellent Steven Caulker to the club. But the majority of the yearly business will surely be conducted in the summer, after Jurgen Klopp has properly analysed his current squad.
And, to that end, Liverpool have been linked with a winger of late. The Daily Mail writes:
Liverpool will continue to monitor Red Bull Leipzig winger Emil Forsberg as they consider a summer offer.
The report states that Liverpool made an enquiry about the winger last month but, having only signed from Malmo a year ago, his club won’t bargain until at least the summer.
The 24 year old Swedish international has 13 caps and one goal for his country since making his debut in a 2-1 win against Moldova at the start of 2014.
At 5ft 9in he is smallish, quick and has made a decent start to his career at Leipzig with 5 goals in 27 appearances.
The report also states that he and Zlatan have gelled well together in the Sweden side. Perhaps Liverpool can have a cheeky punt for the latter too?
With Jurgen Klopp so well-versed on German football it is surely only a matter of time before he raids the Bundesliga for more talent. The summer months should be very interesting at Anfield.
Let’s take look at the young man in action.
