There is something faintly ‘Leaving Las Vegas’ about Manchester United’s current transfer policy.
Where Sir Alex would usually buy players in their formative years who could have long term careers at the club, Louis van Gaal increasingly appears to be buying players as if it’s the last season in the club’s history.
Bastian Schwiensteiger is a classic example. He’s 31 soon and may only have one year left at the very top.
And Barcelona playmaker Pedro will probably be 28 by the time any deal goes through. Another target, Sergio Ramos, is about to turn 30.
The latest player to be linked with Manchester United is even older.
And while the talents of Zlatan Ibrahimovic aren’t up for debate, he’s 34 in October for the love of sweet baby Jesus.
Yet he is being linked with a sensational move to Manchester United, as Sky Sports reports:
Zlatan Ibrahimovic remained tight-lipped on his PSG future amid speculation linking him with Manchester United
“Should I stay in Paris? My future is in the hands of Mino Raiola,” he told Sky Italia.
While Zlatan still has something to offer, we have a big problem with this potential transfer.
He’s well travelled but has never played in England and may not adapt to the pace of the game.
And would he be happy to be regularly benched? Because he would be unlikely to get a game every week. Would his head fit in the dug out?
This would be a hugely expensive deal and waste of Manchester United’s hard earned.
Let’s see the lad in action.

MU should finalize the deals with younger players having potential as a long term measure. They should not fill the squad with all the older and experienced stars as it will not serve the purpose. There should be a proper mix between experienced&older players and young& talented players. Zlatan, though very experienced and successful star, he may not be required in MU squad as he has passed his prime.

Comment:let LVG look for young talented player so that we may have that potential of long term service from them.
