Gareth Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, says that the winger will be going nowhere this summer, amid constant speculation over the Welshman’s future.
‘…as far as we are concerned he’ll be at Real Madrid next summer’
But with Bale getting heavily criticised in some quarters for his performance in the defeat to Juventus in The Champions League semi-final on Tuesday evening, the decision about his Real Madrid future may be out of his hands.
Of course, Real Madrid can easily overturn their 2-1 deficit and go on to win back to back European titles. If this happens, then Carlo Ancelotti will surely look to retain his winning formula.
The last few games of the season are crucial. But if Bale does become surplus to requirements then Manchester United will be one of the few clubs in the world who can afford him.
PSG may make a move but the player would surely prefer a return to England, where his style of play is so effective. Chelsea and Manchester City may move for him but we feel that The Welshman would prefer a move to Manchester United to follow in the footsteps of his hero Ryan Giggs.
And what a side United would be with him in it. With Memphis Depay joining the club this summer Manchester United could once more dazzle on the wings. Bale is left footed but plays on the right for Real Madrid. Depay is right footed but usually plays left of a three at PSV. But both would be equally comfortable on either side and could swap flanks effortlessly to flummox the opposition.
We think that, with Rooney up top, they would be a match made in heaven. Here is how Manchester United could look if the powerhouse that is Gareth Bale returned to England this summer.
