Liverpool really need a lift after a season of pure disappointment so far. It’s not so much that The Reds are way down the league. The even more concerning thing is the manner in which the team is performing. It’s sluggish, tentative and meek – a far cry from last season when Liverpool were comfortably the most exciting team to watch in The Premier League with their superb counter attacking style and brilliant speed and efficiency at getting the ball from back to front.
Now the team seems beset by fear and they need to make a couple of signings in the window, if only to raise morale.

It is claimed that Liverpool will offer £1.5m to loan Shaqiri until the end of the season and then have the option to make the deal permanent for a further £8m in the summer.
We think that this would be a super signing, not only for Liverpool but The Premier League in general. Shaqiri is totally wasted on the bench at Munchen and he needs game time if he is going to realise all of his vast potential. At 23 he’s already played 41 times for Switzerland and scored an impressive 15 goals. But his career has stalled at club level somewhat since his move to Munchen in 2012.
Shaqiri is quick, explosive and adaptable. The left-footer can play out wide or through the middle and will be a welcome addition to the squad.
