Manchester United legend Denis Law has reassured concerned fans that new striker Radamel Falcao will come good, given time.
The brilliant number 9 has had no luck since joining Manchester United on loan for the season from Monaco.
While such niggling injuries are common place for a player who has suffered serious knee problem – Falcao suffered a cruciate ligament injury at the start of the year – this has done nothing to help the frustration of the fans who are desperate to see this force of nature firing for Manchester United.
But Law, who knows a thing or two about goalscorers, reckons that Falcao will be fine once he gets in the groove. He told Manchester United’s official website:
“Falcao looks well and is a very good player. There is no doubt about that and once he gets fully fit and feels right, he will come good. Good players will always play well, no matter which team they go to. It’s just a matter of slotting in.”
Falcao has scored once and assisted two goals in his few games for Manchester United so far. Although struggling for fitness he has been really impressive in his few cameo appearances. His goal against Everton looked as if it would be the start of a beautiful relationship with the club but it was soon followed by the calf injury which has kept him out of the side for long spells since.
But he’s been training for a couple weeks now and he will hopefully get some minutes against Liverpool this weekend.
