There is a point with all great wingers when you ask whether they should be deployed more frequently though the centre.
The classic case for Arsenal was Thierry Henry who started as a winger then moved into the centre before settling down somewhere between the two positions and becoming a weekly game changer.
And they may have another in Alexis Sanchez who has got better week on week. We all hoped to see the dazzling runs and the odd goal but 11 in 17 for Arsenal tells you that Barcelona surely made a mistake.
Anyway, Arsenal have another match winner and before too long he may be playing in the hole for The Gunners. Still allowed to drift onto the wings but also doing damage directly through the middle
This tactic might serve Arsenal well considering the troubles that Manchester United have had in defence this season.
But, until Walcott returns, we would keep using Sanchez out wide with Aaron Ramsey in attacking midfield. When Walcott is fully fit we would pull Ramsay back alongside Wilshere and pop Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo either side of the brilliant Sanchez.
Theo isn’t quite ready yet but Arsenal look in pretty good shape for Saturday with only Ozil, Koscielny, Ospina and Debuchy still crocked.
So here’s our XI for the big game of the weekend. Arsenal fans: what’s your best team?

How many times does Chambers have to F-up before he gets moved from RB. He is too slow to line up against the Manure wingers. if he lines up we are guaranteed to lose. Bellerin is the natural RB with better control and much more speed.
Jack on the bench please. Playing well against third tier European teams won’t mean much on saturday. Especially if Arteta plays. Arteta is better with Ramsey and Carzola
And Campbell should be the first sub not Walcott.

I think Arsenal’s line -up against Man United should be like this:
Szczesny
Hector Mertasacker Chambers Gibbs
Arteta Ramsey
Chamberlain Carzola Sanchez
Welback
The winning Team!

No way in hell slow-ass Arteta should see any part of the pitch. Agree, we would have been better off if he had faith in Bellerín. Campbell or Podolski first sub.
