There are contrary reports floating about with regards the fitness of Radamel Falcao and Rafael da Silva for the big game against Arsenal on November 22nd.
We shall assume that, even if he is back for he clash at The Emirates, Radamel Falcao will be on the bench as he’s eased back in to full form after the latest scare.
With Antonio Valencia fairly dependable at right back, Rafa may not be rushed back either. The injuries are still shaping the team and we feel that a 4-2-3-1 is likely in this tough away game for Manchester United.
The inclusion of RvP up top and Rooney in the whole are, fitness permitting, inevitable. Di Maria will continue on the left of the three and Adnan Januzaj, although quiet in recent games, will be in a direct fight with Herrera for the other berth in the 3 behind the striker. Expect Blind to play in the defence alongside Smalling if, as expected, Jones, Evans and Rojo are unavailable. That leaves holding midfield roles for Fellaini and Carrick.
This should be a brilliant game and this Manchester United team, although still a bit patched up, looks fairly solid.
Here’s our XI. Manchester United fans: is this the best team to put out?
