Manchester City fans will be looking forward to finally catching a glimpse of Gabriel Jesus after his arrival in England.
The 19-year-old actually agreed the deal to move to the Etihad in the summer, but stayed with Palmeiras until now.
It seemed he was finally in line to make his Premier League debut against Everton on summer, but there’s now a question mark over whether that can happen.
According to the Guardian, his contract at City is yet to even be signed off because the appropriate paperwork hasn’t been completed.
Pep Guardiola is confident that the £27million signing shouldn’t be interrupted by this little hitch, but he is still nagging staff to get it sorted by Friday so he can include the player in his squad for the weekend. It will all then depend on whether he’s fit enough to face the Toffees, or whether he’ll wait another week to debut against Tottenham.
Jesus has come in as an additional attacking option to ease the pressure on Sergio Aguero and Kelechi Iheanacho, as he can play as either a number nine or a wide attacker.
