As Cesc Fabregas continues to be sidelined at Chelsea, it’s looking more and more likely that his time in the Premier League could be up.
The World Cup winner hasn’t had the easiest start to the new season, with Antonio Conte preferring new signing N’Golo Kante in his position.
Bizarrely, Fabregas could have left for AC Milan in the summer, but Conte insisted on keeping him, perhaps unsure at that time of how big a role he was going to play.
According to CalcioMercatoWeb, that could soon be put right, as Milan are ready to make a renewed attempt to bring him to the San Siro.
AC chiefs would like the deal to happen as early as January, and they have one major advantage over the likes of West Ham who have previously been linked with the midfielder.
Chelsea could be tempted by a potential swap deal involving Mattia De Sciglio, though it’s reported that Milan would have to offer cash as well.
De Sciglio could be a long-term replacement for Branislav Ivanovic, who was also dropped for the 2-0 win over Hull last weekend.
