Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has insisted he is happy with the club’s transfer policy, as per ESPN.
Since FSG’s takeover from Gillett & Hicks, one area which doesn’t seem to have improved is the way the club conduct their transfer business, with the infamous ‘transfer committee’ often slammed by sections of the Anfield faithful.
The Reds’ off-field financial difficulties have made it difficult to bring in big names, with Klopp’s predecessor Brendan Rodgers having been openly unhappy with not being in full charge of transfers.
Klopp, on the other hand, has more control of bringing players in and has used that power to full effect this summer, signing seven with possibly more to come.
The 49-year-old admits there is a “democratic” approach, so he is not the only one who identifies targets, but it appears he is content with that.
All the same, fans may have conflicting feelings about this transfer window, as some key areas still haven’t been addressed.
Ideally, a new left-back and striker should still be on the cards, and the players Klopp has signed are not necessarily game-changers.
