We regularly state that there is seldom smoke without fire in the transfer market and rumours have been flying around about Chelsea signing a striker in this window.
So it’s safe to assume that there will be a new forward on the books at the club by February.
Of the names mentioned, The Blues have only recently been linked to Saido Berahino of West Brom, but if they do complete a surprise move for him we think that he could turn out to be the best signing of the window in The English Premier League.
And bookmakers SkyBet have quickly brought Chelsea into 11/8 favourites to bring Bera in to The Bridge in January.
Berahino hit 20 goals in 45 games for West Brom last campaign and at just 22 he’s already a great athlete and a great marksman.
He would offer pace and guile to a front line which hasn’t always fired this season. If he gets his head down at a new club we think that he will be impossible to ignore for the EURO 2016 squad.
Berahino can play up top or either side of the number 9 and would surely love the chance to move to Chelsea.
