Tottenham are keen on a promising young midfielder, according to latest reports.
Sky Sports reports:
Tottenham have an interest in Mainz attacking midfielder Yunus Malli, according to Sky sources
The 23-year-old was born in Germany and represented them from U17 to U21 level. But he made the decision to represent Turkey as a senior and made his full international debut on November 11 2015 against Qatar.
He started his senior club career at Borussia Mönchengladbach II before moving to Mainz in 2011 where he has been a big success.
Now in his fifth season at the club he has notched up 105 appearances and scored a really decent 21 goals.
Tottenham already have great creativity in attack and the player may find his route to the first team blocked, initially at least, by the imperious Christian Eriksen.
But Mauricio Pochettino is clearly trying to build a deep squad which is capable of competing on every front and, hopefully before too long, in The Champions League.
The report states that Dortmund and Schalke may also be interested in the fine prospect so Tottenham may have to move fast if they want to tie this one up.
Let’s take a look at some of the better moments in the still formative career of the playmaker.
