Manchester United: Liverpool to put the final nail in LvG’s managerial coffin?

Louis is under pressure at United

Gone?

One of the most worrying aspects of Manchester United’s recent form is that haven’t even played any particularly tough fixtures in that run of 2 wins, four draws and four defeats in 10. Chelsea were the pick of the opponents on paper but were all over the shop in the aftermath of the Jose sacking. Still United could only manage a draw – goalless of course.

We can see from the fact that Louis has so far survived the crisis that Ed Woodward and the Manchester United board are apprehensive about sacking him.

But there will be no place to hide this week when Manchester United play two tough away games in the league over the next 7 days.

Newcastle (away) beckons on Tuesday night and although they are in the relegation zone they have improved of late and have players who can hurt a fragile United. Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Tiote, Perez, Mitrovic and Thauvin have avoided Newcastle’s crippling injury list and will relish the game.

Then Manchester United travel to Liverpool on Sunday and how The Reds would love to inflict more misery on the Old Trafford club.

On current form, we think that both could end in draws. And while Louis van Gaal may view draws as decent results, it will mean that the club will likely fall further off the pace in the race for fourth place, let alone the title.

We have always been fond of the Manchester United manager and don’t want to be seen to be twisting the knife while the man is down. But the board must realise how much easier it is to slip down the pecking order than to climb back up it and, under the Dutchman, Manchester United are PATENTLY in decline.

Manchester United are bereft of inspiration under a manager who is also clearly suffering badly himself. But he gets paid a fortune to get results and no one should feel too sorry for him if he soon flies off into the Portugal sun with his beloved wife and a massive severance package which most won’t earn in their entire lives. Manchester United fans have no such comfort right now. Just dreary football which fails to enliven their weekends.

Anything other than two unlikely wins and we think that the manager, the fans and the players should be put out of their misery. End the strife by bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the hunger of Jose Mourinho who is the right age to re-establish Manchester United long-term.

Comment:we only want to lose van gaal through sacking him not losing games.actually he doesn’t understand the BPL.Woodward should think twice before its too late and there is possibility of finishing seventh.
