After such a relatively quiet summer in the transfer market it was only ever going to be a matter of time before huge deals were once more being mooted for the biggest team in the world.
The British media has picked up on a rumour that Real Madrid are about to make a huge change to their attacking personnel.
The Express says:
Real Madrid to sell Man Utd and Arsenal targets and buy Chelsea winger in shock overhaul
FLORENTINO PEREZ is planning a massive overhaul of Real Madrid which will see two of the clubs biggest players sold.
The report suggests that Ronaldo and Benzema could leave with Eden Hazard and Robert Lewandowski to replace them at Real Madrid.
Hazard/Ronaldo
Let’s face it. At 30 years of age Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t going to get any better. But he doesn’t really need to because he is still comfortably Real Madrid’s best player.
Eden Hazard is a wonderful player but he couldn’t be expected to score as many goals as Ronnie and may therefore be seen as a downgrade – albeit a still superb addition.
Lewandowksi/Benzema
The Frenchman arguably had his best season for Real Madrid last year. But the current controversies are bound to affect him and Lewandowski is arguably the best centre forward in Europe right now.
So this one would have to be seen as an upgrade for Real Madrid.
Let’s see Lewandowski in action, scoring 5 goals in one game.
