Because Sky Bet reports that there has been a lot of money going down on the Frenchman becoming Arsenal’s marquee signing of the summer.

Apparently he started the day at 11/4 to join Arsenal before the end of this window.
But, such has been the weight of cash on the move, that he has come in markedly, first to 5/4 and now 11/10.

You don’t need us to sell you the idea of Benzema joining Arsenal. At 27 he’s at the top of his game and would be the perfect finisher for players like Alexis Sanchez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Santi Cazorla’s ammo.
He’s one of the best finishers around. But what may surprise some is his work rate.
Benzema is a wonderful target man who never fails to put in a great shift for his club or country.
He puts himself about and never stops running.
He’s a dream of a player and one who Arsene Wenge has clearly always admired.
We do believe that if Arsenal can pull this one off they will finally be able to break through the glass ceiling of also rans and come up with a top bit of silverware this year or next.
