Real Madrid look fairly well stocked in all areas right now.
But in the summer, or perhaps even earlier, they are going to have to look at their front line. At the moment they have the on fire Karim Benzema up top. Christian Ronaldo can obviously also play there to great effect. But their back up at no.9, Javier Hernandez, is only on loan and Real Madrid may opt to look elsewhere rather than sign the Mexican permanently.
Chicharito has great qualities – coming off the bench and scoring is one of his best – but he arguably lacks the skill set to lead the line from the start of games at this level.
One player who is arguably a more complete striker is being linked to Real Madrid in the British media. The highly regarded Daily Telegraph says:
Real Madrid have also expressed a tentative interest in Bony and the Ivory Coast international is aware that he is in demand.
The source also suggests that Manchester City are interested in the player. With his proven suitability to The Premier League their interest may be more serious. But we believe that Bony could do a great job for Madrid.
He’s quick and incredibly powerful, but marries these qualities with a great first touch and subtlety about his game. He has scored loads of goals in England for a medium sized club and we feel that his next employer will be getting a superb 26 year old with his best years ahead.
Let’s see the lad in action. Real Madrid fans: does Bony excite you?
