Tottenham remain hot on striker despite competition – report

This guy does look like an absolute Bobby Dazzler for the future

We reported a few months ago on Tottenham’s potential interest in a young Swedish player. Valmir Berisha has been drawing admiring glances from all over Europe after an amazing performance in the recent under 17 World Cup.

During that tournament he scored a hat-trick against Argentina and was generally involved in many of the tournament highlights.

He currently plays for Hamstead in Denmark but, if reports are to be believed, he won’t be there for long.

Liverpool are supposedly tracking the player as well. The Daily Express said earlier this week:

Tottenham were thought to be leading the charge to sign the Halmstad youngster, but reports in Denmark suggest that Liverpool are also closely monitoring the situation.

Reports suggest that Berisha could be available for as little as £500,000, believed to be the fee Halmstad would be entitled to should the striker move overseas at such a young age.

We do think that Tottenham still need to buy a striker or two. Jermaine Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor seem like they are on the way out of the club and Roberto Soldado has underwhelmed so far.

Whether this kid is the answer right now is highly debatable. The ideal scenario would surely be to buy him aswell as an established performer who Tottenham could rely on for 20 odd goals over the next year.

But this guy does look like an absolute Bobby Dazzler for the future so let’s have a look at the lad in action. Tottenham fans – flash in the pan or future superstar?
