After abstaining from the first few matches of new boss David Moyes reign at Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson has tried to quietly creep back to Old Trafford, for many of the club’s recent home games.
Of course it’s impossible for him to go unnoticed at Manchester United – short of wearing a mask he is always going to have the spotlight on him at his spiritual football home.
He must have had a fantastic time away from football since he retired but obviously the old competitor inside him is still yearning for football. Even though he’s no longer the Manchester United manager he looks as if he is living every second and suffering with the team in this video.
The footage comes from the final few moments of Manchester United’s victory against Arsenal at Old Trafford last weekend. The ex-Manchester United boss remonstrates with the referee, even from back in the stands, about the amount of time being added on at the end of the game.
At the final whistle Ferguson jumps up with delight as Manchester United complete a fantastic weekend for their title chances. What a true legend that Fergie is.
