Great News: Arsenal target almost certain to leave his club for EPL this summer – report

Arsene Wenger may have made some debatable calls over the years but we would be absolutely incredulous if Arsenal didn’t start next season with one new striker at the very least.

We have reported today on how Loic Remy could be closer to joining the club this summer.

And Olivier Giroud is on fire right now having scored two for France in a friendly this week to cap a fine season. But Arsenal will need a serious pool of top strikers if they want to compete to the very end next season.

One player who has been persistently linked with Arsenal over the last year is Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.

He’s found gametime hard to come by and Marca suggests that the player will move to The Premier League this summer.

Álvaro Morata looks almost certain to try to engineer a move away from Real Madrid. The striker decided back in January that he wants to leave behind ‘Los Blancos’ and find the game time which he has been denied over the past two seasons somewhere else.

With Karim Benzema having another good season and Real Madrid regularly being linked to Luis Suarez this summer Morata may go out on loan but a permanent move is looking ever more likely.

He scored 9 goals in 34 games last season and is knocking on the door of the Spain squad so it’s easy to understand why he feels that he needs more consistent game time.

We think that he would be an excellent addition to the Arsenal squad. He’s not the necessarily the high-profile striker Arsenal should also be spending money on this summer but definitely one to complement the squad in another long and physically rigourous season.

Let’s remind ourselves of the quality of the lad with some of his highlights.

Arsenal fans: would this guy represent good value or is he too young and inexperienced to make a huge difference to the first team straight away?
