Manchester city gained a superb victory by two goals to one in the reverse fixture in Moscow couple of weeks back. This has put them back on course for Champions League group stage qualification after a home defeat to the brilliant Bayern Munchen.
As Manchester City have found out to their cost in the past complacency is out of the question. Every home game is a must win fixture and Manchester city certainly can’t afford another slip up at The Etihad tonight.
The big news is that Joe Hart remains on the bench after a recent spate of blunders. Manchester City coach Manuel Pellegrini earlier said this about Hart:
“I don’t know when Joe will come back to the team. We will see in the future what we must do,” said Pellegrini.
Pellegrini added: “It is very important for him to have a rest. He has played all the matches in the last two and a half years.”
