Arsenal are still unsure whether Jamie Vardy will be playing in a red shirt next season.
However, his transfer saga has taken another twist, as the Mirror report that if he is, it could, in fact, be a Liverpool jersey.
Jurgen Klopp could bid for Vardy, but only if he shines for England at Euro 2016.
That’s going to be difficult, as several reports indicate Vardy may not even get a start, as Roy Hodgson could opt for Hary Kane up front on his own.
It may be a better idea for Klopp to look back at Vardy’s season with Leicester, which is far more representative of what he can do.
One of his goals of the season came against Liverpool, so it’s no surprise Klopp is eyeing him as a potential replacement for Christian Benteke, who is expected to leave.
The Reds may already have a world-class striker in Daniel Sturridge, but his injury worries mean they need someone who can take his place, and is capable of scoring goals on a regular basis.
Vardy could just be that man.
