Wenger tells fans there is success without title

Arsenal’s fed up fans have a stadium boycott for their club’s Thursday night game with West Bromwich Albion but Arsene Wenger gives them something to look out for.

Arsenal drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace which further dented their hopes of winning the Premier League title for the first time in over ten years.

This prompted a lot of angry reaction from their fans who intend boycotting their next few games in protest of the club’s ambitions.

However, Wenger has told them to look at their constant success in making the top four in each of the seasons he has guided them.

“I want our fans to be happy and when they are not it affects me. I just want to make sure that everybody at this club, everybody who loves this club, is happy. If they are not I am, of course, not satisfied.” he said.

“I do not want people to be unhappy. I want you to be happy, I want the fans to be happy and everybody in the world to be happy. And if I had the power to do it, believe me, I would do it. But I cannot.

“But I’m not here to judge our fans. We have to respect our fans. We have values that our fans hopefully share with us, and when they are not happy, you have to accept it.

“I would also like to remind you that if we win the game against West Brom, we are third in the league and, if you look at the history of the club over 140 years and its consistency, you will see there’s no shame in that — even if we are not happy with it.”

This reasoning that a top four place is good, by Wenger, is the very reason why we under-achieve and this becomes ingrained in our players over the years. This is the very reason why Wenger MUST leave and not carry on with his negative influence which rubs off on our players.
