LIVERPOOL goalscoring legend John Aldridge has tipped Reds teenager Sheyi Ojo for big things.
The 18-year-old winger has made a good impression since scoring on his debut against Exeter in an FA Cup third round tie against Exeter back in January.
Since then Ojo – who spent time on loan at Wigan and Wolves in the Championship – has made a further five appearances for Liverpool and has shown enough in that time to get Reds fans – and Aldridge – excited.
The former Anfield striker was full of praise for the youngster after impressive displays recently in Liverpool’s Premier League victories over Stoke and Bournemouth.
Aldridge said: “The manager has breathed life into the academy and given them a chance and they’ve done really well.
“Young Ojo is a proper talent who has so much ability it’s frightening and I just hope it develops. He’s got a great chance.”
High praise indeed from a man who knows what he’s talking about.
Let’s hope for Liverpool supporters’ sake, the story has a different ending to the last Reds youngster to be talked about in such glowing terms – a certain Raheem Sterling.

Sterling was a greedy bastard who I predict will end up in serious trouble with the police eventually.
