Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will have to do without the services of Emre Can for between four to six months
The German international limped out of the Liverpool’s dramatic win over Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League quarter final last Thursday.
He was seen leaving the stadium in crutches and wearing protective boots and had a scan on Friday that revealed he will be out of action for more than a month.
His manager retains hope of having his versatile player back before season’s end as his Liverpool side prepare to face Villarreal in the semi final of the Europa League.
Should Liverpool advance to the final, Can could play a part of the game that could see Klopp lift his first trophy as manager of the Reds.
