WHO’D have thought at the start of the season that Sunday’s clash between Arsenal and Leicester would be billed as a potential title-decider?
It may still be too early to make such a call but should the Foxes – now favourites with the bookies to lift the Premier League crown – topple Arsene Wenger’s men at the Emirates, it would stretch their lead over the Gunners to eight points with just 12 games remaining – surely too big a margin for the north London giants to peg back?
Just to put the Leicester game into perspective…

Despite thumping Leicester 5-2 at the King Power Stadium earlier this season, former Arsenal striker Alan Smith admitted that he’s not entirely convinced by their performances so far this campaign and that they really need to beat the Foxes to prove themselves.
“Arsenal have got to make sure they’re at it for the big occasions, and this is a huge occasion,” he said.
“It could be a defining moment of their season.
“Are they mentally strong enough now to push on, to beat Leicester on Sunday, and to push on again during the difficult away games to come? That’s still the big question for me.”
Ever since Patrick Vieira left, the Gunners have been accused of lacking leadership on the pitch. In recent times, they’ve struggled in the big games and Leicester will enter the match on a high after seeing off Liverpool and Manchester City in their previous two outings.
Arguably at this stage of the season, this is a more important fixture for Arsenal than Leicester with nothing less than victory enough for Wenger’s men.
We know they’ve got the talent but do they have the bottle?
How confident are you Gunners fans and would failure to take all three points be a fatal blow to Arsenal’s title challenge?
