Huge game

There was some room for optimism for Liverpool fans in the thrilling 3-3 draw against league leaders Arsenal on Wednesday evening at Anfield.

But it’s clear see that this Arsenal side is further down the line in terms of its evolution and readiness to have a genuine title tilt this season.

At times they toyed with Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp will be seeking a better measure of control from his side, especially in home games.

Sunday’s duel with the old enemy, Manchester United, represents a fascinating match up.

With United playing so tamely under Louis van Gaal some Liverpool fans will be more than happy if he remains in charge of the team.

But, conversely, a win for Klopp’s side on Sunday could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back in terms of Van Gaal’s disappointing tenure at the club.

Liverpool have ongoing injury concerns but they should still be able to put out a side capable of winning this game and we think that, fitness permitting, the following line up will give them the best chance of victory.
