Dynamism

Obviously the perfect trio of signings for Manchester United, in an ideal world, would have to include Ronaldo and Messi.

But we want to speak in realistic terms. Who are the best players that Manchester United can feasibly sign in January?

Marquinhos

The PSG defender is going to be a top centre back for another decade. He has wonderful technique for a stopper and could have the same sort of impact at Manchester United as the hitherto peerless Rio Ferdinand did.

The Daily Mail reported this week:

Chelsea and Manchester United are taking a keen interest in developments with Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos.

The young Brazilian signed a new contract last year despite failed bids from both Premier League sides yet has started only seven games and is growing increasingly frustrated.

Felipe Anderson

The 22 year old could be close to a move to Manchester United and the rumour mills have gone into overdrive on this one.

He’s a majestic Brazilian with the world at his feet. Pacy, direct and exciting, Anderson could ignite the attacking midfield and bring more goals to the team.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The Gabon international has taken Europe by storm this season with 27 goals in 27 outings for Borussia Dortmund.

He has been linked to Manchester United this week and he would surely bring goals to a barren side. His flexibility would also allow LvG to tinker and find the right formation.

With these three Manchester United would have a top ball player in defence, and far more dynamism in the attacking areas.

Manchester United have looked fairly solid this season but slow and laboured the further up the park they move.

With these three they could be far quicker and more direct from back to front.

Let’s take an extended look at the Borussia Dortmund forward in action.
