Ever since Jurgen Klopp took over at Liverpool we have been not a little curious about who he might eventually bring with him from The Bundesliga.
His previous club, Borussia Dortmund, have some fantastic players in their squad and, with the money on offer in The Premier League, you imagine that several of them might be tempted should Klopp signal his interest.
One of the best players in Dortmund right now has to be Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabon international has been on fire since joining the club a couple of years ago and rumours are rife he will make a move to the Premier League this month.
Liverpool are said to have entered the race for his signature and what a player he could be at Anfield.
The Express reports:
Liverpool prepare bid to hijack Arsenal’s £42m move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
And a potential move seems possible after the Borussia chief executive, Hans-Joachim Watzke, is quoted as saying this about the possible departure:
“We can never believe that a club like Borussia Dortmund is dependent on a player,” he told German newspaper Bild. “We are not dependent on anyone.
“When Robert Lewandowski left, we found [solutions] and he even has three more goals than Lewa. We are now so well positioned that we can offer alternative solutions again and again.
We think that he is the perfect modern forward in that he can play in any of the front four positions with ease. He is as good at scoring goals as he is creating them and, at the age of just 26, he still has his best years ahead of him.
soccersweep believes he would be a wonderful addition to the Liverpool side and can only imagine how good a front line of Sturridge, Coutinho, Firmino and Aubameyang would be.
Let’s have a look at him in full flight. Liverpool fans: is this the sort of signing that you should be making in January or do other areas of the team need addressing first?
