Time for change

The eyes of the football world will be on the drama unfolding at Manchester United on Wednesday as the weekly press conference takes place amidst spiralling uncertainty.

We don’t know for absolute certain that the embattled incumbent of the Manchester United hotseat, Louis van Gaal, will even be there.

With intense pressure on the boss and a speculation frenzy about Jose Mourinho wanting the job there are no guarantees.

But it seems increasingly likely that LvG will be in charge for the Stoke game and The Guardian writes:

Louis van Gaal will conduct his pre-match press conference as normal on Wednesday as pressure on his position intensifies.

But, after appearing so dejected after the Norwich game it will be fascinating to see how Louis deals with the media glare. Will he come out fighting in an attempt to engender unity in the camp? Or will he continue to have the look of a defeated man?

If this is indeed his last chance at redemption he would surely have chosen a different game than Stoke away to try to carve out a victory.

No win in 6 and 3 straight defeats, two of which were against promoted sides and the other which knocked Manchester United out of The Champions League – they are damning stats which would get many to most managers sacked and we can’t see Louis surviving another defeat.

We feel that it’s time for a change at Manchester United.
