Manchester United: Resigned Louis van Gaal

Big Moments

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal had, for the first time in his Manchester United career, a resigned demeanour when he gave post-match interviews after the Norwich debacle.

Resigned to defeat, resigned to the speculation about his sacking and resigned to failure at Manchester United.

Usually he comes out fighting, but this time he looked like a beaten man – a guy who didn’t know how to change things around at Manchester United. He looked anything but a man with answers.

And Spanish football expert, Gullem Balague Tweeted that history could be about to repeat itself. He said:

Someone close to Van Gaal just told me last time he was like this (players didn’t get him, defeatist body language), he resigned: Az Alkmaar

Noone could ever accuse the Manchester United boss of being unprofessional – he is clearly very meticulous in his job.

But there is a sense that his holiday home and wife are beckoning him.

And, in the face of a huge pay off and an even more huge task to turn things around at Manchester United, he cold even decide to jump before ehe gets pushed.

Louis van Gaal is a god guy but his last major job in football looks ever more like it will be seen as a failure.

As a die hard and dedicated fan of man utd,LVG needs our support n patience. I believe a grt coach like van gaal shld nt be humilated bt he shld be given the benefit of doubt by allowing him sign who ever he needs dis january to turn things arnd n if he fails,he can be sacked bt Rooney shld be dropd as top 9 yle martial takes d position he rightfully deserve. Rooney heart is nt with man utd again he body language says it all. Jose coming will mean more spendings on top of van gals which is nt a wise idea fr nw n jose will wnt to change almost all man utd players n i personally will luv to c mata retire at man utd. We av a gud squad bt LVG tactics needs change n fr sure d Europa n premier league will b ours. Man utd fr life

Comment: I’m only concerned about his tactics (possession football) which isn’t working for my beloved and most cherished club. With him, Man United can’t win any trophy except he changes for our usual attacking tactics.
