This one comes from Turkish media outlet Takvim, via The BBC, who say:
Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Galatasaray winger Kevin Grosskreutz, 27, who Reds boss Jurgen Klopp managed at Borussia Dortmund
The 27 year old winger played for Klopp at Borussia Dortmund in his time there between 2009-2015. He was a regular in the side playing 176 league games and scoring 23 goals.
He was supposed to move to Galatasaray in the summer but his paperwork wasn’t submitted in time and so he won’t be eligible to play in any matches until January 1 2016.
But he was a trusted player under Klopp and perhaps Liverpool will be the next to benefit from a steady player who reminds us a little of James Milner.
Grosskreutz has also represent Germany on 5 occasions since his debut in 2010. He was selected for the 2014 Germany squad for The World Cup in Brazil but he didn’t make any appearances as his country won the tournament in convincing style.
If he did join the club he may well be Jurgen Klopp’s first signing for a Liverpool side which has already been rejuvenated under his management.
Let’s take a look at him inaction.
Liverpool fans: can you see him slotting into the starting elven for is this more of signing to bolster the squad?
