Some Manchester United fans have come to believe that it’s the tactics of Louis van Gaal that need to change.
But another theory goes that he has built from the back and now just needs to finish his project by adding a couple more stellar forwards.
How about Harry Kane?
He started the season slowly to get the unwanted tag, in some corners, of the ‘one season wonder.’
But his recent goalscoring return has smashed that theory to pieces and, at just 22, it’s difficult to imagine Manchester United not being interested in such a top British marksman.
Kane has hit 10 goals in 19 games this season and those figures look even better when you consider that he didn’t get going for the first half dozen games of the campaign.
The Daily Star reckons that Manchester United will make a huge move in the summer.
MANCHESTER UNITED are planning a £50 million summer swoop for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
United watched Kane again last Sunday against Chelsea and their dossier on him includes detailed computer analysis of his all-round game and character.
The report states even a bid of £50m may not persuade Spurs to sell. And they don’t seem short of cash right now.
So, as ever, the central question is whether the player wants to come to Manchester United. And that, in turn, surely depends on whether Tottenham can gain entry to The Champions League this season.
Let’s see the maestro in action.
