Reports in Italy suggest that Liverpool are the latest side showing a keen interest in the signing Lazio’s solid midfielder Lucas Biglia.
The 29 year old has been linked to The Premier League for some time and there were even rumours, late in the last window, that Manchester United had agreed terms for the 29 year old Lazio captain.
Now Italian media outlet Gazetta World reports:
Recent reports suggest the Biancocelesti captain has already caught the attention of Real Madrid and even Serie A rivals Inter, though it now seems Liverpool have stepped into the ring with an enticing offer.
Liverpool have a decent helping of central midfielders with Lucas, Emre Can and the soon to return Jordan Henderson in the squad.
But, at 29, Biglia has really blossomed over the last couple of years and looks like a complete midfielder.
He’s played 38 times for Argentina since his debut in 2011 and became central to his nation’s run to the final in Brazil 2014 after becoming a nailed on starter from the quarter final stage.
There is very little for Liverpool not to like about this guy. He’s got great technique, works hard, rarely cedes possession and is a leader. He even pops up with the odd goal from his position in the engine room.
