Surprise in attack: Manchester City’s Best XI vs Liverpool?

Game ‘tut Weekend

The great news about the latest international snoozefest is that it’s the last bit of international action until March.

So we can finally see all The Premier League teams get stuck in and gain the sort of momentum which brings about the best footy.

Manchester City suffered a disappointing draw at Villa before the break in a performance which said as much about the amount of football City played in October as it did their current status as a team.

Because, for our money, Manchester City are the clear favourites for the title. Arsenal and Manchester United are in close proximity but this is City’s title to lose.

Why? Because they are playing by far the most convincing football right now.

They may well have another dip the season. But when it comes to the crunch you would have to back Manchester City over Arsenal, who are playing their best football in years but still retain that soft centre in the biggest matches.

City’s injury list is clearing up too. They have 6 crocked right now but expect to welcome everyone but Wilfried Bony back into the squad this weekend or next.

Of course, it’s probably too early for Sergio Aguero to start. The injury to Bony may speed up that process, but the hitherto impressive Kelechi Iheanacho may be a surprise starter in his stead this weekend. Alternatively, City may play De Bruyne through the middle and add Jesus Navas to the flank.

David Silva may well start this one and his presence will bring that added class and control to the midfield.

So here is our best available XI to face Liverpool in the game of the weekend.

Manchester City fans: agreed?
