‘We Need More’: LvG finally reveals Manchester United’s January transfer plans and says that targets want to come

Louis is under pressure at United

Special Player

This is an interesting one.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal never gives too much away regarding transfers but always enough to keep you interested.

When asked about his plans for the January window, which is now just 9 weeks a away, he admitted that he plans to be active again.

He is quoted in The Express as saying:

“I have already said, in the transfer period, I could not buy every player I want and that’s also because of the market.

I have said that we need creative, speedy players in attack. You have seen which players I have bought; I like that profile, but we need more.

“I think that all the players I want do want to come. It is not a question of the players, it is a question of the clubs who are stopping them.”

Whatever you may think of Manchester United’s style under Van Gaal it’s difficult to argue with the notion that he has bought well.

Apart from the disappointing sagas with Falcao and Di Maria, his signings are all proving their worst and improving the squad.

And with the focus clearly on attacking players, according to Van Gaal, Manchester United fans should be in for a very exciting window again.

The obvious addition may be Sadio Mane of Southampton. He has carried on where he left off last season and looks like a wonderful player in the making.

But his club won’t be forced to sell a player under contract and may well play hard ball again on this one.

Let’s see Mane in action.

Manchester United fans: keen?
