In times past a Stoke vs Watford match would be expected to include more than its fair share of the physical aspects of the game.
But both teams have played some lovely stuff this season.
Stoke are in great form having won four and drawn one of their last five games in the league.
Mark Hughes has them playing solid football but with real attacking verve to boot.
But all of the wins have come by no more than a one goal margin and Stoke will guard against complacency against the spritely new boys.
As for Watford, they have to be satisfied with a decent 10 points in their first 9 Premier League games, which puts them four points above the drop zone in a formative league table.
The have won two, lost two and drawn one of their last five – they need to start picking up points again and this would be a perfect place to do it.
But few teams come away from Stoke with three points and Watford will have to be on the boil in what we think is going to be a really entertaining match up.
