Report: Manchester United’s next deal could be sealed in 5 days

Reports over the last 24 hours continue to suggest that Manchester United and Pedro will soon be together.

But The Daily Mail reckons that United will have to wait until after the Spanish Super Cup next Tuesday to capture the Spaniard.

Manchester United given go ahead to seal £22m Pedro deal but they must wait until after Barcelona’s Super Cup clash

The assumption here is that Barcelona would want to give the player the sort of send off he deserves after spending his entire career, hitherto, at the club.

The Mirror also asserts that a deal is close:

Manchester United are on the verge of completing a deal for Barcelona’s Pedro, with Louis van Gaal said to have promised him a starting spot in his new-look attack.

And ESPN reckons that, if and when Pedro moves to Manchester United, Adnan Januzaj will go out on loan.

Plenty of Manchester United players have made the move from Old Trafford to Sunderland in recent years, and Adnan Januzaj could be the next to savour the delights of the Stadium of Light.

We aren’t sure about this one.

LvG seemed impressed by the youngster on tour and may see him as a back up striker for Wayne Rooney in the coming season.

But, whatever happens with Adnan, Manchester United do seem on course to sign Pedro in the next week.

And, with Angel di Maria being unveiled by PSG later this afternoon, United definitely need at least one more seasoned attacker.

Let’s take another look at Pedro while we wait.
