Falcao gone. RvP gone. Yet Manchester United have far more games next season now that they have returned to the top table of European football.

If LvG does bring in a household name then he will once more have to change his system to accommodate Wazza and the new man.

Alexandre Lacazette has been linked to Manchester United regularly and we think that he is going to be a very good striker for a very good club. He’s quick, strong and doesn’t mess about when he gets a sniff of goal.
But the number one choice would have to be the sensational Hary Kane, who scored 31 goals for Spurs in 51 appearances last season. Many of the sports pages went with the Kane to United link again over the weekend and he would be a fantastic addition for the club.
But it will take a monumental effort to sign him. He loves Spurs and the club will do everything that they can to hold on to him – at least in the short term.
If the player were to change is mind and become tempted by a move to Manchester and The Champions League then things could change quickly. But, as things stand, Manchester United may have to look elsewhere.
