Manchester United have been strongly linked, over the last few weeks, with a move for Ilkay Gundogan. Some media outlets went as far as to suggest that a deal had been agreed.

Man United and Arsenal target Ilkay Gundogan PASSES medical at Barcelona
Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo claim the medical went well and an agreement has been made to sign Gundogan in the summer of 2016.
We like Gundogan – he’s a technically skillful player who is great off both feet. But when we look at the Manchester United eleven we don’t see how he would noticeably improve the first team. We aren’t sure whether he has the power and physical presence to be the answer for the anchor man role and, if Louis van goal wants to play 4-3-3 next season then he would have to play there or else take the place of Herrera or Fellaini.
He’s a lovely player but perhaps more suited to Barcelona and the Spanish game. For all his talent Manchester United need a powerhouse with defensive capabilities and physical prowess. We worry that Gundogan may be an underwhelming signing for Manchester Untie din this respect.
Let’s take a look at him in action. Manchester United fans: worth pushing the boat out for?
