Latest reports have suggested that Barcelona have made a move for the highly sought after Frenchman Paul Pogba with a formal offer to Juventus for the brilliant 22 year old. British media outlet, The Daily Express reckons:
Barca BEAT Man Utd, Chelsea and City with first FORMAL offer for Juve star Paul Pogba
BARCELONA are the first club to have formally made a bid for Paul Pogba, according to reports.
The obvious problem for Barcelona is the continuing transfer ban. With them unable to sign anyone until January they can still agree a deal in principle for the player. But would Pogba prefer to change clubs in the summer and enjoy a whole season with his new team?
A January move would also cause problems in The Champions League, where Juventus will surely cup-tie the player in the first half of the season.
If it were any other institution than Barcelona, we sense that Pogba would move elsewhere. But the chance to succeed the likes of Xavi at such an attractive club may just persuade him that his future is at Barcelona, rather than one of the other elite clubs that are after him.
Perhaps the biggest challenge to Barcelona is if Real Madrid make a move for the player.
Let’s see Pogba in action. Barcelona fans: are you confident that you can secure this midfield dynamo?
