Liverpool interested in Alexandre Lacazette as Reds continue to monitor Arsenal target
Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette is being monitored by Liverpool as they look at targets this summer
The youngster has already scored a remarkable 27 goals this season (24 in the league) – which has put him at the top of the French goal scoring charts ahead of the likes of Andre-Pierre Gignac (18) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (17) – and this has reportedly alerted a clutch of top clubs including Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle, AC Milan and PSG.
Lacazette has been at Lyon since he was a kid and made his senior debut in 2010. Since then he has scored 66 goals in 180 games for the club over the space of 6 campaigns.
FINAL WORD: With Daniel Sturridge likely to be back on song after a full preseason, and the brilliant Divock Origi to come in, Liverpool already have real quality up top. But it seems more than likely that the likes of Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini will be sold this summer and that will leave room for at least one more arrival in the striking department. Lacazette, who has already played 6 times for the France senior side at international level, looks like a great bet for Liverpool.
Let’s see him banging the goals in. Liverpool fans: a good fit?
