Manchester United on the verge of completing transfer of international forward

The Guardian reported late on Tuesday evening that Manchester United are on the verge of agreeing a deal with Crystal Palace for the permanent return of Wilfried Zaha. The England international, who has two caps for his country, was on loan at Palace but this move will see the full circle completed, to the great financial benefit of the South London club. The Guardian said:

Crystal Palace on verge of making Wilfried Zaha loan permanent for £3m

Manchester United paid in the region of £10m up front for Zaha when they signed him in 2013. But the club are said to be prepared to accept just £3m up front for the 22 year old to go back to the club where he made his name. There are likely to be add-ons however.

It was a frustrating journey for the lad who promised so much when he arrived at Old Trafford in August 2013. But, after a good pre-season, Zaha didn’t get the breaks that he wanted in the team as new manager David Moyes was under great pressure to get results and went with more tried and tested combinations. Zaha ultimately played just 4 times for Manchester United.

Hopefully now he can rediscover the form that got him the move and into the England squad just 18 months ago.

But this failure represents another in a sequence of signings that haven’t really worked for United. Apart from Zaha we are still waiting to see the best of Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini, while newer signings Daley Blind, Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo, Angel di Maria and Radamel Falcao are all still finding their feet.

Let’s see Zaha in action for Manchester United

There is no need for LVG to make Zaha loan to permanent because their are no talented young stars in the club.

If news is true then it’s a silly deal for man utd to take up, feels like Palace conned Fergie in the deal, selling him for 10 or 15 Mill and buying him back for 3 Mill just 2 years later. Wonder whether Fergie or his brother made a huge comm on this deal?
